Turkey Chilli Con Carne #knorrnaturallytasty

There is so much in the news nowadays about going back to basics with home cooking, cutting out artificial ingredients and including more natural, home grown ingredients. As a Mum I want to ensure my boys have a good balance diet, and yes they eat biscuits, crisps and chocolate – how many children don’t? BUT I do try very hard to make sure that the meals I cook for them are nutritious and contain as many hidden natural ingredients as possible.

Knorr have recently launched a new range of recipe mixes which promise to not contain any so called nasties, and yet not compromise on the taste and flavour when they are used in your home cooking.

Knorr Naturally Tasty combines real vegetables with a variety of aromatic spices and herbs and seasonings, in six easy to use recipe mixes allowing authentic tasting meals to be cooked at home, which are free from artificial flavours, colours and preservatives and do not contain any MSG, HVP and HVO.

I decided to cook a chilli con carne last weekend, and used turkey mince instead of beef  as it was all I had in my fridge! I added a few extra ingredients to my chilli than was stated on the Knorr Naturally Tasty pack, such a red and yellow pepper, but other than that I followed the recipe instructions given, which was straight forward and easy to prepare.

The finished dish was very tasty indeed and all the family enjoyed tucking into it.

It states that each recipe pack serves 4 people, but there was enough here for 5 which meant leftovers for me on a jacket potato the next day for lunch!

This meal only took 30 minutes to prep, cook and serve to my family which is great for ensuring I am feeding them a homemade meal when time is of the essence, such as weekday tea times.

I think I am going to try the Knorr Naturally Tasty Spaghetti Bolognese tonight!

I was sent a Knorr Naturally Tasty hammer for the purpose of a review.
