Project 365 #29 (13th – 19th July, 2014)

So this week has seen my 4 year old become a 5 year old and it has been a busy week for me getting ready for the climax for a newly aged 5 year old boy, his birthday party which we had on Saturday with 30 of his friends!!!! As I sit here still recovering from that (and would like to say thank you to my family and some of the mum’s who came to the party for helping on the day), here is my week in photos.

A Very Hungry Caterpillar play dough learning through play session this morning which was great fun to do.

I am so proud of how well Burton’s reading has progressed at school, he brought home some green labelled books today. His abiltity to pick up pretty much anything now and jyst read it because he can, Β just amazes me!

Happy 5th birthday Burton! So excited was he about his birthday, that he woke me up at 4.50am to ask me if he could open his presents (and me having been up until almost 1am getting stuff ready for today)!!

One of Burton’s presents was a water blaster – this was being used this morning before school!

Burton’s first school report was exactly as I had hoped for and more! Both his Daddy and I are very proud of all that he has achieved so far. Funniest remark made in it though was this little gem: “when I grow up I want to be a pirate because I like pirate stories!Β ” We dont even have any pirate books lol!

Burton’s party was this afternoon with a Toy Story theme. I hope and think it went ok – 32 children was a lot to keep entertained and note to self – 2 hours is long enough don’t ever opt for a 2 1/2 hour long party again!

And only 3 days of school left until the holidays now!
