Project 365 #25 and #26 (15th – 28th June, 2014)

Well for the first time since I started Project 365, I missed a week last week! So this week I am doing a 2 for 1 round up instead.

Here is our fortnight in photos

Sunday was Father’s Day and we went to Granma and Grampy’s for a BBQ lunch and the boys played in the paddling pool with their cousins.

Another hot day means another cool off in the paddling pool after school

I didn’t go to Britmums in the end – very last minute a friend offered me her weekend break in Cornwall as she could not longer go, and I felt I could not turn it down! We arrived and our lodgings were right next to the adventure playground!

Today we visited Padstow and travelled there by the ferry boat across the sea from Rock

Today was my birthday – the dreaded 40!!!

On our way home we stopped off at Crackington Haven a place I have not visited in years and one that OH and the boys had never been to. How wonderful to strip down to your pants and go for a paddle!

Back to normality today! Here is a funny story that Burton told his class!

I helped out on the school trip to Exmoor Zoo and Burton was very brave!!! (He also held a snake – yikes!)

I have had problems at bedtime with both boys for the last couple of weeks – messing around and getting over tired probably due to the heat and light nights! Was relieved when they were asleep by 7.45pm tonight!

What a shocker – we had rain today and with that came puddles perfect for splashing in on the school run

The boys went to a birthday party this afternoon – here is Burton writing out a gift tag for the present!

  1. A pity you missed BritMums but the weekend break looks like it was a lot of fun. Hope you enjoyed your birthday even if it was a big one. Some great pics on the beach.

  2. What a gorgeous trip to Cornwall and he went to all my favourite places! I still haven’t quite forgiven the in laws for leaving the county! Lovely pics and hope you’re winning the bedtime battles x

  3. They are growing so quickly. Love the rolleypolly. I see monkey is still there but feels like he’s not featured as much. Missed seeing you at Britmums but looks like you had an amazing time and special birthday xx

  4. I just LOVE Cornwall – looks like you have been having lots of fun, some lovely pics of the boys (and you!) as always 🙂

  5. shame about britmums but nice to get offered a family holiday instead. looks like you all enjoyed it.
a big YYYEEEUUUUCCCCHHHHH at the zoo picture, even pictures make my skin crawl – posts like this should come with a warning at the top!!!!
Some rain days are nice, and the kids enjoy the puddles.
Happy belated birthday, and its really not that bad. (but then I passed your stage 15 years ago…..sigh)

  6. Your Cornwall trip sounds lovely. What better to have outside but a playground. 🙂 Our Ashley calls that thing that Jenson is on ‘No No’ because one of the steps doesn’t move..

Had to laugh at Elaine ^^.. You really must warn her about spiders..:)

  7. Burton is VERY brave letting the spider that close! Just looking at him makes me want to switch the laptop off lol!
Shame you missed Btitmums live but looks like you had a lovely weekend! I wouldn’t have turned that down either

  8. Sounds like you’ve had a good couple of weeks Jenny. Happy belated birthday! I hope you had a wonderful day (I’m 3 years older than you – it flies!). Such a shame to have missed you at BritMums but Padstow looks amazing, what glorious sunshine x

  9. What a busy fortnight you’ve had, and such a wonderful collection of photographs. I love the captures of the boys in the water and the splashes, I know how much they enjoy being waterbabies. That’s a spider, not a snake btw 😉

I really hope that you had a wonderful time celebrating your birthday, I missed you hugely and felt like my right arm had been removed, but you deserved the break. Hope to see you very soon!
