Sunday – we spent all day decorating our trees (all 3 of them!) and the lounge and kitchen while listening to Christmas songs . Brilliant! This tree is one we can replant in the new year and we let the boys decorate it by themselves.
Monday – Playgroup for Jenson and I this morning and one of the activities was to make a crown which Jenson then wore for the rest of the day event to the post office where he carried the parcels for me!
Tuesday – Jenson and I went to see the school Christmas performance entitled the Christmas Alphabet which was a musical and not a traditional play at all. Burton and the rest of his class were T for Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and they all dressed as stars and sang and then signed the nursery rhyme. Burton did really well and sang and signed his heart out #proudmummymoment. Not a great photo as we were asked not to take any so this was done sneakily.
Wednesday – I took Jenson to Mum’s this atfernoon to stay the night so that taking Burton to his evening school performance tonight would be easier, as it started at 6pm and then I had to collect him at 7.30pm, and I thought Jenson would be asleep by then! The photo was taken on the way to school this morning where Burton let Jenson help him post his Chritsmas cards into the school letter box.
Thursday – I went to town this morning Christmas shopping as I was childless until after lunch, and I treated myself to a Costa hot chocolate and cake! Once Jenson was home we went to collect Burton from school and on the way out they insisted on climbing the tree. We were the last ones to leabe the school grounds! Daddy arrived home in time to take Burton and to watch him perform in the final performance tonight.
Friday – today was festive jumper day and Burton’s school were allowing everyone to wear one and donate £1. Burton loved wearing his and it was wonderful seeing all the effort the children and staff went to with their jumpers.
Saturday – Daddy took both boys swimming first thing so I got stuck into some housework and then made a cake and cooked dinner. This afternoon we took the boys to the park quickly until it rained so we went to see their Gran instead. And now we are eating tea and watching a film and Daddy is snoring on the sofa!

Love school performances, times to treasure forever
Kara
I cannot wait until Isaac’s performance on Wednesday – looks like you have had a fun week and the boys are getting excited for Christmas!

I love the Christmas jumper. Ella’s Christmas play is on Tuesday and she’s alien number 2 so it’s definitely not a traditional Christmas play! I must admit to missing the traditional nativity a bit, I think the last time I saw one was when Aiden was in infants and he’ll be 14 in April.

youre boys are adorable. i love the shot in front of the tree!

Love all the Christmassy pics with Jenson and his crown, and Burton with his Christmas jumper. Our school have those very same star costumes. although H has never been a star (sheep, angel and innkeeper over the years).

Every child lives climbing trees, we usually have to stop at every one just to have a quick climb 🙂 Lovely pics

I love Burton’s jumper! Where is that from? Three Christmas trees!?! Do you live in a palace?? One is enough for me.

Wow 3 Xmas trees!! That must have taken a lot of baubles. Bet your house is all sparkly now. Jenson looks like a little pro on the piano!

Don’t blame Jenson for wanting to keep that crown on – it’s fab. Aww did you cry at Burton being a star? Have you got all your Christmas shopping now?

The boys did a great job decorating the little tree. They both look very proud. 🙂
It’s such a shame that some schools feel the need to restrict parents taking photos. Glad you got a sneaky one 🙂
